During the last few weeks we’ve been visiting several travel agents to discuss our travel plans and to receive their offers on how much they would charge us. We had discussed doing everything ourselves but quickly came to the conclusion that letting someone else handle visa applications, buying all the correct tickets, booking accommodation etc is such a huge weight off our shoulders that we’re happy to pay someone else to do it. Not to mention all the guidance and tips from professionals that we’ll happily accept regarding all aspects of our journey.
We presented the travel agents with a list of cities and sights we’d like to see during our adventure on rails, and they presented us with an offer based on that. Which places we actually end up visiting and for how long will depend on train timetables, price tag, and recommendations of the travel agent. So we might end up in completely different places than what we initially thought.
Now we just have to choose which travel agent to use, and then we’ll be planning our journey in more detail in collaboration with them. Exciting!
